An Anglo Uruguayan, Stephen was born, raised and educated in his native Montevideo yet has spent most of his professional life overseas in many countries of Latin America, US, UK,  Turkey and France. He has spent over 30 years on the business side of multinational pharma companies in commercial and senior management roles. He is currently based in Paris, as CPO for the French healthcare company Sanofi. Previously he worked for PwC, GSK and BMS. 

He has a multicultural background, speaks three languages and is a sports enthusiast, particularly football, rugby, tennis and cycling. He is married and has 2 sons.
